Food-grade wax emulsion WQ-W5500
Introduction
WQ-W5500 is a polymer resin water and oil repellent coating emulsion. It is a food grade wax emulsion can be used directly for spraying or for preparing paper inks, printing inks, cardboard inks, and other packaging coatings that directly touches food. It provide a safe, thin barrier layer that improves moisture resistance, grease resistance, flexibility, and surface smoothness, helping protect food quality during storage and transport. Formulated to comply with food-contact regulations, these emulsions are easy to apply, stable, and suitable for packaging items such as paper wraps, fruit boxes, and disposable food containers.

Performance Features
- It provides the paper surface with excellent water and oil repellency, is recyclable and safe for human contact, offers strong resistance to hot water and hot oil, and can serve as an alternative to PE film.
- It delivers outstanding release strength and anti-stick properties.
- Its absorbency is 2–3 g/㎡ at 300 s and 4–6 g/㎡ at 1800 s, with an ester-resistant KIT value of 9 without gloss loss and 12 without penetration.
- The recommended drying temperature is 100–150°C with a drying time of 20–30 seconds.
Packaging and Storage Condition
- Net weight: 50 kg/drum or 120 kg/drum.
- Store in a cool, sealed environment and protect from freezing.
- The product has a 12-month shelf life in its original, unopened packaging at room temperature. Once opened, it is recommended to use the material as soon as possible.
Add amount and use method
- It is typically recommended for use on the inner wall of paper cups, with a suggested dry film application of 6–7 g/m².
- If the product remains unsealed for an extended period, its viscosity may increase—this is normal. To maintain viscosity stability, ensure the container is properly sealed after each use.
- When blending with other materials, especially those with different pH levels, please conduct a compatibility test in advance.
